This total production number agrees with Chevrolet's Accumulative Production Report of August 31, 1965.
Caveats:
(1) The total production according to the reported last VIN of each assembly plant totals 375,618 leaving 3,000 units unaccounted for in U.S production:
378,618 - 375,618 (VINS) = 3,000
(2) Production for Canada is reported at 19,132 units; 12,130 L6 and 7,002 V8 Chevelles but are not broken down by specific series/model.
(3) GM of Canada documentation indicates 40 13867 Malibu SS convertibles with left hand drive were exported from Oshawa. This is NOT represented in the Export numbers above.

* The El Camino is a body style, not a series.
