Note the trim chart does NOT specify which are bench seat and which are bucket seat codes, only the model(s) the trim was available with. There were only five (5) codes for bucket seats; 703, 706, 715, 722, and 732. All others are bench seat configurations. Note too that no bench vs. bucket seat designation was used on any plant's trim tags.

Some vinyl interiors were extra cost options, some were not. Convertibles, El Caminos, and station wagons came standard with vinyl interiors so there was no extra cost for vinyl in those body styles. Cloth interiors were standard in everything else and vinyl interiors were optional at $19.00 with the exception being when bucket seats were ordered. Since bucket seats only came in vinyl, no extra cost (above the cost of the bucket seats themselves) was incurred. It should also be noted that vinyl interiors for 1971 were called "Coated Fabric" and not "Imitation Leather" as it had been in the past.
